In this overview we'll outline how can Wakeupdata help you take control, optimize and send your product data feeds across multiple marketing channels.
Wakeupdata has six (and counting) main features to help you with your main responsibilities as a modern digital marketer.
Import your products from different sources in different formats such as XML, CSV, JSON, TXT. Besides that, we have created plug-ins to several Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Prestashop, Magento, and UCommerce to make it easier for you to connect and import your products to our system.
The list of plug-ins is currently expanding to other CMS and PIM systems, so stay tuned for news in this area.
1.1 Create a product feed through crawling
What happens if you don’t have an available feed in the formats described above or a CMS system?
Not to worry, we have got you covered in this case as well. We can extract data directly from your website, creating and updating a feed on a daily basis. The service is called crawling and simply put, you provide us with the URL of the website and we do the rest for you.
2. Enrich your product data feed through merge and scrape
You can enrich your product data feed by merging missing information, such as missing EAN numbers, additional descriptions, cost data or any other relevant information that can (and will) help you optimize your product feed and become more successful with your campaigns.
Let’s take an example:
You successfully imported your product data feed, but during the process you realized that you are missing the EAN numbers. We know that by adding your EAN numbers to your product data feed, you can see an increase of up to 20% in clicks on Google Shopping.
If you have the EAN numbers stored in a different file (i.e. on a Spreadsheet) - you can use our merge function and add that information to your feed, making sure you are not missing out on that 20% increase in clicks.
Additionally, we can extract missing information directly from your website by using our scrape feature. For example, we can extract more images, description fields or any other relevant information, gathering even more information for you to work with.
3. Optimize and export your data
Now that you have your data imported in our system, it's time to choose where do you wish to sell your products? We have created a list of templates for the most popular channels where you can export your data.
Choose your desired channel and start populating and optimizing your product data. Missing a channel? Don’t worry, we can create a custom feed for you!
4. Expression engine
The expression engine is the feature that will help you transform, combine and clean your data in more than 100 ways! Yes - you have virtually endless possibilities to optimize your product data on the go. In more technical words, the expression engine is basically a regular expression (regex) engine that allows you to transform your data in a seamless way.
Not to worry, we have a guide on how to use our expression engine, and our support team will always be happy to guide you through the process.
5. Filter products from your feed
Do you have products that you wish to exclude from your product feed on a given channel? With WakeupData this task is as easy as it can get.
Simply set a rule on a specific product or a group of products you wish to remove from your product feed and you can be sure they will not show up in places you don’t want them to be seen.
6. Transform your images
Product images are the first thing your customers will notice. Wakeupdata helps you stand out and add layers of information to your pictures, making sure you catch the attention of your customers as quick as possible.
It's worth remembering that with social media ads you have on average 1.7 seconds to capture a user's attention. With Wakeupdata Image Transformation engine this process takes a couple of minutes and you are all set to capture the attention of your customers and stand out from the competition. We’ll dive into each feature in more detail in the following articles.
