Get an overview of the latest changes to the WakeupData HUB - all focused on giving our users greater control and functionality when managing their data feeds.

Hi there! My name is Dan and I am the Product Manager here at Wakeupdata.

The changes outlined in this article are the result of 8 months of work based on feedback from you - our customers, and we truly hope we have captured your wishes and will deliver an improved experience with this product update.

Without further ado, let me introduce to the main updates within Wakeupdata HUB:

Partners (higher quality)

  • A complete layout redesign and changed naming conventions

We have made radical changes to our user interface, which we believe opens up more opportunities to make your day-to-day job easier. On the left side bar you will have access to the tools that help you navigate through your account. Also, we’ve adapted our naming conventions to follow the industry standards.

We are introducing

“Projects” - each project. includes a data source that you syndicate across different channels.

For those of you who’ve been with Wakeupdata for a while, this are the the old imports (more info on Projects), and

“Channels” - as the naming suggests, these are marketing channels where you can syndicate your data to. For those of you who’ve been with Wakeupdata for a while, these are the old exports (more info on channels).

If you are a Wakeupdata Partner,

you will land on your clients overview tab where you will have a quick overview of the clients within your account.

The projects tab - think of it as a sandbox account where you can test projects and features, without affecting any of your client accounts.

The users tab - if you are working in a team, you can invite one of your colleagues as contributors. Please see our help articles to learn more about how to add a new user.

User guides tab - here you will find our knowledge base with more help articles for different features in our platform. It is continuously updated, so if you can’t find answers to a question please get in touch with us by starting a chat within the platform.

Also, on the top right corner you will have access to our page based help articles and a searchable drop down menu to navigate through your client accounts.

If you are a Wakeupdata Client,

you will land on your projects overview tab where you will have a quick overview of the projects available within your account.

  • Introducing notifications

To help you keep control and be proactive when it comes to errors with updating your product data, we’ve introduced the error notifications tab. You will be able to identify which project has issues as well as how to fix them. For now, the platform will notify you if a project fails to update or if you forgot to set up regular updates (schedules) to a project.

  • Introducing breadcrumb navigation

To help you navigate through different stages of the project, we’ve introduced the breadcrumb style navigation. Simply move between stages of the project without missing the bigger picture.

  • Introducing the transformation engine

Optimizing your product data shouldn’t be a difficult task. However, simplifying the process while keeping the functionality as broad as possible is a technical and design challenge. But, we’ve come up with a solution that we believe will have both - and we need your help to understand if our expectations are correct. Therefore, we are introducing the “Transformation Engine”:

In a nutshell, the transformation engine aims to simplify the process of optimizing data with a simple use of drag and drop commands, without losing the power of our expression engine possibilities.

You can select a field, modify data in bulk and add variations, drag and drop between fields and if you need more flexibility at any time, you still always have access to the expression engine.

As this is a beta product, we would like to kindly ask you to use it as much as you can so we can capture your interaction and make updates accordingly. If you have any questions or feedback in regards to the transformation engine, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
